That bloody 404 error page again!13/01/2012
Don’t you hate those 404 pages? There is always a strange sense of disappointment on getting that ‘ERROR 404′. Like it was something that I had done wrong!
So I wanted to make the Avalanche 404 page a little bit more entertaining and amusing, to avoid the usual negative reaction of hitting the 404 wall. If you ever find yourself on our 404 page, then please let me know what you were looking for. I have box under my desk full of lost and found items, you never know, it maybe in there.
I’ve been meaning to fix this page for a very long while… It’s that leaky plumbers tap syndrome. But the refreshing Xmas holidays has left me with energy spare at the end of the day to do a little house work.
Well, not actually house work, Pete is still in charge of the studio vacuum cleaner and I avoid the office washing up as much as I can.
E.T. joins us in the studio21/01/2011
The gorgeous (and slightly crazy) E. T. (Erya) joins us in the studio this year! She’s full of life, very fun and a great designer! Keep an eye out for her and her work!
Christmas Tea Towel20/12/2010
Ho Ho Ho Merry Xmas to all our clients and website visitors! We hope the end of year is treating you well and not too manic! We know many family Christmas parties are coming up, and while the company may (or may not) be fun, one thing is certain – someone will definitely have to clean up! Something we’re not looking forward to!
In true Avalanche style, we debated this topic over some drinks and came up with ways to avoid doing the washing up! Why not eat everything out of pineapples, coconuts or watermelons? Why not eat only DRY food so we can dust it off?
Thanks to the Linen Press we were able to get a limited number of Organic Cotton tea towels screenprinted with our solutions.
As a way of saying thanks for all your support this year, we will give all our clients a limited edition tea towel for Christmas! We hope it makes you laugh, and could be possibly useful… unlike those corporate pens that never work properly!..
Hollywood voted Orange!18/08/2010

Throughout August’s hazy summer nights, the Alamo Drafthouse and Levi’s® will be taking the Rolling Roadshow to the people under the unified banner of ‘We Are All Workers.’
Rooted by one of the nation’s founding principles, We Are All Workers hits the road with nine seminal screenings proving that everybody’s work is equally important. True to form, each screening will be in the location where the film was shot or set.
Inspired by the spirit of the American worker, the Alamo Drafthouse and Levi’s® have curated an eclectic line up that ranges from the the birth of the oil nation in Paul Thomas Anderson’s THERE WILL BE BLOOD to the futuristic corporate nightmare of Paul Verhoven’s ROBOCOP. Championship contenders are crowned and humbled as Sylvester Stallone embarks on an an epic ROCKY-THON on the Liberty Steps, while Marlon Brando is washed-up ON THE WATERFRONT of the New Jersey docks. Law breakers are saluted as DIRTY HARRY takes to San Francisco’s Washington Square Park, Quentin Tarantino with JACKIE BROWN (schedule permitting), and Chicago’s finest, THE BLUES BROTHERS tear their musical mission from God across the country. Closing out the Roadshow is the the defining immigrant worker story of THE GODFATHER: PART II which will screen from the rooftops and chimney stacks of New York’s Little Italy.

And this is a new poster for The American. George Clooney stars in the title role of this suspense thriller, filmed on location in Italy.
Madmen Yourself06/08/2010
We’ve just discovered this fun new website based on the TV show “Madmen” which we’re all big fans of. If you didn’t know, Madmen is a TV series based around characters in an advertising firm in the 1960′s.
We’ve made little avatars of ourselves using the site: http://www.amctv.com/originals/madmen/madmenyourself/. You should check it out!
First up we have our Creative Director Andy!!! Nice suit!

Avalanche on ice!04/03/2010
We love having a bit of fun at Avalanche. Last week we randomly decided to go rollerskating at the roller rink after various conversations about roller blading, using your dog to pull you along while skateboarding, skating backwards, and pushing our boundaries this year.
We looked it up, and for only $7, you can head down to Carribean Rollerama to have two hours of fun – or in Pete’s case, 2 hours of bruising and battering! Going during the day is nice as the rink isn’t crowded so it’s a good time to learn..
Commendations to Pete and Elvira of Avalanche who have never skated in their life!! They did really well!
Pictures below.
New Staff Member – Elvira!26/02/2010
To help with the exponential growth that Avalanche is experiencing, we’ve just added a new member to the Avalanche Australia team – Elvira Moodie. She’ll be helping us out with customer service, sales and much more! This means that if you ever have a query, there’ll be someone at Avalanche who can look after you. At the moment, she’s only in on Thursdays and Fridays, so please say hi if you see her around – she’s lovely, really friendly and helpful. I’m sure you’ll all fall in love in no time!
We’re Back!19/01/2010
We hope you all had a relaxing Christmas and New Years!
Ours was filled with much eating, drinking and general silliness, and we hope yours was the same. It was nice to catch up with family and friends and just be able to sit back and relax for a bit…
But that’s all over now, we’re back in the office now, so feel free to give us a call!
